Community Infrastructure Levy

The Community Council receives 15% of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) receipts from certain liable developments within the Community Council area. The CIL is administered by the Planning Service within Caerphilly County Borough Council.

To date the Town Council has received £71,075.98 to spend on local projects.

£19,000 has been contributed to Maesycwmmer Primary School to enable every pupil to have access to a Chromebook.

£1,442 has been donated to Hearts Cymru Wales for a new defibrillator for the village.

£3,677 was used to purchase a new bench for the Main Road.

£15,000 was contributed towards the outdoor gym in the playground.

Funds have also been committed towards a skate park.

Suggestions for future projects can be sent to the Community Clerk but they should have a lasting benefit for both residents and visitors.
